Sleep? What's that?

Yes, that's right, we didn't sleep much at all last night. She's was pretty fussy all day yesterday (Tuesday) and just as fussy during the night waking up litterally every half hour. Oh my God! - I feel like I'm going to die from lack of sleep, but have no fear, I googled and read that no one has ever died from not sleeping - might get a little crazy though - wait, we're already are crazy! I really need a nap - just like the one she is taking now but I'm afraid to lay on the bed because she might wake up and I'm kind of liking the peace and quite (that sounds so motherish). Regardless, fussy or not, she's still so cute. I really want to keep biting her but I think the authorities might take me in! Just little nibbles :o) I have to tell you about how she get's ready to cry - it really is precious - she sticks out her bottom lip and sucks it back in...then she'll have a "bood" on her face. After that little process, she will scream on top of her lungs with her little teeth showing and little round mouth - It is so cute. After about 30 seconds, it's not as cute - just loud. Okay, on with our day; after a sleepless night and a cranky morning we all went to the local park. She was okay sitting in a stroller, that we rented, all bundled up like a pink eskimo. She seemed sad today - we think she is grieving over the loss her home and caretakers that she's had for the past year. Either that or she really needs a poop. Who know's! No really - it just takes time but it breaks our heart seeing her sad and crying. All the meetings that we went to while we were waiting helped out alot. Giving us an idea of what and what not to expect - so I'm sure she'll come around. I must say that she always seems content when we're at the restaurants eating breakfast, lunch or dinner. Oh, and she loves the bus rides. So, we'll just have to buy a bus when we get home. Things are slowing down as far as the adopting process and paper work. I think we're all done here in Nanching but still a little more when we get to Guangzhou. We'll be in Nanchang until Sunday morning and then fly down to Guangzhou.(2hrs) So for now, we're just chillin here until then. We'll try to blog tomorrow

P.S. We know your all anxious to know her name (believe it or not, we were still deciding on the bus ride to get her). We just feel that we would rather tell you in person than over the blog.

Hello Melton family,
Thanks for keeping in touch with us all. It's 8:25am on Wednesday. It's really nice to wake up in the morning to see the up dates and pictures. I'm sad that she's sad but as you know, she'll get better with time. She's got great parents and a wonderful family waiting patiently to meet her. As for her name, I think it's a great idea you wait to introduce us to her with her given name from you two. Take care...I love and miss you guys!
Lots of love and comfort

Awwwwwwhhhhh! She is absolutely adorable. She is really so precious and sweet! Kerin, you are a riot! I laughed OUT LOUD when you said you'll have to buy a bus when you get home - you hot sh*#! I'm very impressed with you two - you're doing great and seem to be adjusting well. You really are naturals. Take it easy & enjoy the ride... time goes by so fast and you'll soon realize this on your own now that you're parents! (When you get home, anytime you need some sleep, I'll be right there to take over for you while you snooze)! Love, Hugs, Kisses and lots of good wishes... XXXXOOOO (P.S.: Holding off on the name is a great idea - leaves something more for us to look forward to!)

Hey Guys,

We've just gotten up to date on your journey. Baby (and Mommy/Daddy) look great in the pics. Stories have been fantastic.. Keep them coming. It makes us feel like we're taking the trip along side of you.

Don't worry about the crying. Even though it pushes your stress level to the max, you can take comfort in the fact that it's only temporary. Things level out once you get her into a routine. In other words, deal with it for now.

We are all eagerly awaiting your return. Look forward to your next post.

Love
Steve, Kim, Stephen, Ally & Lauren

PS--> We've been letting Lauren suck on a cold/wet facecloth to ease her teething & it seems to work for a little while.

Thanks so much for all your posts, guys. It means a lot to everyone (I'm sure) to be kept up to date on everything you are doing. It's just all so incredible. She is such a beautiful baby. Since she loves the bus so much, maybe you'll have to buy a minivan. Somehow I just don't see that happening. All I ask is that you email me with her name after you share it with your family back in RI. We booked our flight to visit but I don't want to wait that long to hear her name ;-) Take care and keep blogging when you can. I can't help but check your blog every time I log on!!!! I miss you!
Love, Diane

Just checking for updates and every time I see that little crying face, all I can picture is how close she must be getting to you now. She must be getting comfy with you guys; you're so likeable... I wish I could see just a little clip of how you are interacting as a family. I am so, so happy for you. Again, she is so beautiful... I swear, every time I look at her, she gets cuter! I can't wait to hold her & kiss her little face! (I know, James... I'll wait until you say so!) Love you guys! xxoo
